I'm getting fed-up with the "politicking" that's going on, Sunday after Sunday, from some of the regular callers. For instance, I think Phil, from Brick, ought to have THIS message played AFTER one of his weekly stump speeches: "I'm Barack Obama, and I approved this message."

WHY is Barack Obama (interesting initials, B.O.) "campaigning" in Germany, France and Britain? How MANY electoral votes do THEY have?
His opponent, John McCain, is campaigning in the United States!
THAT'S where the election is going to be held, on Tuesday, November 4, 2008. Hey, we KNOW the fickle French are going to vote for B.O., but (fortunately!) THEIR vote doesn't count! Yes, Presidents Kennedy, Reagan and Clinton went to Europe, but THEY were sitting presidents. They HAD credentials.
B.O., on the other hand, is going to EUROPE to GET credentials! WHY didn't he GET more involved on the floor of the Senate? THIS presidential campaign is JUST like Hollywood movies: STYLE over SUBSTANCE!!! Good grief!

Barack Obama goes to Europe, to campaign, and ALL THREE NETWORK NEWS ANCHORS (Katie Couric, Charlie Gibson and the jerk that took Tom Brokaw's place) follow him. Meanwhile, John McCain prefers to stay in the U.S., talking to "regular folks," and HE can't even get the WOBM News van (do you STILL have one?) to cover him! QUESTION: WHEN WOBM starts to charge for political advertisements, DOES that include Phil, from Brick, too? You know,
"I'm Barack Obama, and I approved this message."

Barack Obama had time, yesterday, to address 200,000 (estimated) non-voting (in OUR election, anyway) German citizens. However, he DIDN'T have time to visit OUR wounded troops at nearby Landstuhl Army Hospital. What a guy!! It was reported on Fox News that Obama is allocating $5 million for television ads to run during the Olympics. I thought the Olympics was ABOVE politics?? Also, he has ALREADY named a transition team, to ease the expected change-in-government, in January, 2009. Did I miss something? Did I sleep through the Democratic Convention?
No? At this point in time, he's still JUST the presumptive nominee;
he not only HASN'T been given his party's nomination, he hasn't EVEN announced a running mate! First, he "jumped the shark" (Hillary Clinton) by throwing his hat in the ring (it was HER race, to win or lose), now he's gearing up for his coronation, at the Democratic Convention. I understand WHEN he returns from Europe, he and his wife are going to the White House, with a tape-measure. To measure for new drapes, that is! Hey, Barack, DON'T count your chickens BEFORE they hatch!

Why was Chris from Phoenix pushed off the show. He definitly had a grasp of issues and was one of the most widely informed and yes opinionated callers and great to listen to. Even though I didn't always agree. He certainly generated a lot of comment. And wasn't he your longest and most faithful caller? I know he rubbed you the wrong way most of the time but he challenged you to dig down and think as he did most of us. I'd love to hear him again.

Topic A provides a forum for public comment without filters. Phil from Brick from the left is a voice of rational thought and compassion. But, Could he be a "bleeding heart":who cares? It seems tome that those who care about the plight of their fellow Americans are far more patriotic than those of the right seemingly concerned only about themselves.

Topic A needs to have a raffle to determine the identity of "anonymous". The winner of the raffle will have to bring breakfast to Bob Levy at the radio station.
