The economy is BAD! All we hear about are bail-outs, lay-offs, home foreclosures and despair, despair, despair. Well, I'm a man of means, this holiday season. I gave turkeys to the Macedonia Baptist Church. It made ME feel good to know that a few families received a QUALITY holiday meal, thanks (in part) to me. People helping people! Two years ago, I was on the receiving end. I was DOWN, DOWN, DOWN! It's funny how life can change, from year to year.
Now, Christmas is upon us. People are STILL needy. I spent considerable time on the Internet, today, looking for toy drives, and the like. I remember WHEN Ocean County had Melanie Meyer-Levin, and her Tara Mark Foundation. WHERE does a guy with flush pockets go, this holiday season, to help his fellow man? H-E-L-P!!!
A Wal-Mart worker, in Long Island, is trampled to death by a "Doorbuster opening." 34 year old Jdimytai Damour, is DEAD. KILLED by HOLIDAY SHOPPING. KILLED by CHRISTMAS. Where is the "Christ," in Christmas? What kind of society have we become? A minimum wage employee is TRAMPLED TO DEATH, so others can save a few bucks on a flat-screen TV. WHY?
Christmas has become a four-letter-word, today. You CAN'T have a manger scene, with the Three Wise Men. You CAN'T have a Menorah. Traditional Christmas Carols are deemed unacceptable on radio. Unless "Granny" is being run over by a reindeer, that is. In shopping malls, the Christmas "season" is "open for business," the day AFTER Labor Day.

Somewhere, SOMETHING got lost. WHERE is the CHRIST in Christmas?
Is He in the parking lots of shopping malls, as we FIGHT for parking spaces? ROAD RAGE! I don't get it, HOW did it GET like THIS???
FINAL WORD: HOW do I help a needy family, here, in Ocean County? Like I said, before: It USED to be Tara Mark. What, NOBODY could pick up the slack? I find THAT hard to believe!!!
