Stacy Proebstle meets the military again, but this time she isn't leaping from a plane. She's on the Seaside boardwalk Monday for the NJ Army National Guard Fit Challenge. They'll be there most of the summer, testing people on two minutes of push-ups and sit-ups.

Also Monday, Lakewood shopowners, homeowners, police and township workers combine on a graffiti cleanup campaign. They've set up a phone number to report tags, and they're recruiting inmates from the Ocean County Jail to erase the marks. It's an ongoing drive to improve quality of life before it disintegrates.

Tuesday in Toms River, the Ocean County Democratic Party reorganizes at the Quality Inn. What's different this year is that there is a slate that wants to take over for the directors who have been in charge for the last five years. They say the party is on life support, and they want to revive it.

Wednesday, again in Toms River, Steve Lonegan and Americans for Prosperity call taxpayers to Saint Barbara's Greek Orthodox Church to view their Taxpayers' Budget proposal. He says there's still enough time for the Governor and Legislature to incorporate their ideas.

Also Wednesday, members of the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management visit WOBM to record a half-hour about hurricane preparedness. Meteorologists predict a busy season.

June 21, Fort Monmouth is abuzz. The annual JUICE inter-disciplinary emergency drill takes place - one of the few remaining 'til closure. They're also unearthing a time capsule that was planted there 50 years ago. In light of everything that's happened in the world since 1960, the contents should offer a fascinating perspective.

This used to be a must-listen
for those of us who lived in Ocean County. Now it's just another
"national show" in which Bob has
regular weekly guests disguised
as callers who drone on and one.
WOBM needs something local and this is not local any longer.

If you are going to post bills that are to be voted on this year, please don't post bills with the same bill number that were introduced in 2008.

Hey Bob,
Reading this headline, I couldn't help thinking about you. Why was it necessary to mention the race of the bears?
