From the NEWS Desk of Tom Mongelli:
Ocean County census workers have one last hurrah at the Ocean County Library on 9/20. They actually did one of the most thorough head-counting jobs in the state. You're almost certain to see a big increase in OC population figures next year.

Toms River Halloween Parade is nigh upon us - chief organizer Ron Weingroff lays out the rules and regs on 9/23 at Volunteer Fire Company 1.

This past Wednesday's Open Forum concerned, in part, the Central Regional School District, which can't seem to stay out of courtrooms. Attorney Vito Gagliardi noted that Seaside Park and Heights elementary kids are transitioning into the Toms River district, and carped that it's "chipping away" at Central. We're asking Mr. Ritacco how he sees it.

Beachwood Mayor Ron Jones is scheduled to answer several charges in Pine Beach Municipal Court at the end of the month. Most have been filed by Gerry LaCrosse - the former Councilman who wants to regain his seat. Helmets optional for this one.

Hey Jorge, When TR buys Camp Albocondo. They are going to rename it CAMP RITACCO.
mikejsal your post will be removed by Bob Levy as soon as he learns to use a computer as it has two items in it that are to be forbidden by Robert. "Camp Albocondo" and "Ritacco".
And please remember from now on it is "MISTER Ritacco" to you.
To Bob it is "Hugs and Kisses Mikey R", can I keep any more people from learning about what's going on any better than I did today?
Beatrice OWNED Bob today and he didn't even know it. PRICELESS Beatrice!!

Though the purchase price is CONFIDENTIAL, Haake said it was listed by a Realtor for $8 million, but TPL likely would pay less.
She said Toms River would be asked to contribute between $2 million to $3 million, and Ocean County might be asked to contribute a portion, if it is interested. Additional funding could be obtained from grants and donors.
If Toms River didn't give their approval Toms River would have had 45 acres at no cost to Toms River.

Toms River hasn't come up with the funds yet, Bob Levy will be responsible if Toms River goes through with this.
He said he knew where this was going as soon as Camp Albocondo was mentioned.
If Bob knew where he was going, why didn't he tell the rest of the radio audience? Perhaps Bob and Ritacco are in cahoots.
