March 06, 2011

From the NEWS desk of Tom Mongelli:

· Sunday 3/6 – Jenkinson’s Job Fair, Point Pleasant Beach

· Monday 3/7 – Sierra Club screens “Gasland” at Toms River Library. This is a documentary about hydrofracking, a method of extracting natural gas from underground shale that environmentalists say leaves the ground soaked in hundreds of chemicals. It’s turning the Delaware Valley into the next ecological battleground, and they say the ripple effect has implications all the way to the coast.

· Wednesday 3/11 – Ocean County 2011 budget introduction. Usually about $100,000,000 less than whatever Monmouth spends.

· Thursday 3/10 – DEP information session about its sewer system area plan for 17 northern Ocean County townships, Toms River The sewer plans are the road map for future development, which is what turns this into a significant hearing.

· Saturday 3/12 – Blueclaws Fan Fest, First Energy Park

· Friday 3/18 – MODC General Membership Luncheon, Spring Lake

· Sunday 3/20 – Vernal Equinox – the same amount of day and night, and the days begin lengthening from here.

· Wednesday 3/23 – Ask The Congressman, WOBM

· Thursday 3/24 – Monmouth 2011 budget vote. $496,000,000

· Thursday 3/24 – National Park Service public meeting on improvements for NJ Coastal Heritage Trail, Toms River

I'm back from Daytona Beach, Florida, and I'm listening to "Topic 'A'" over the Internet.
This is the first time I've heard Bob's voice, since last fall. He just beat-up the hapless "Chris," from Phoenix, and in about an hour, he'll be kissing the butts of his loyal following: Phil, Herb and Jack. "Topic 'A'" is like a TV soap opera: You can stay away from them for months (years?) at a time, but WHEN you return, it's the same old place. You pick them up, where you left off from.

Oh, Boy, we're in the eight o'clock hour, now. This is the hour in which Bob's Court Jesters (Phil, Herb and Jack) ALWAYS call.
I bet THEY don't feel the Wrath of Bob, like "Chris" just did!!!

"George" is on the line, now. "George" is an activist, and he CAN'T understand WHY you're not.
"George" attends meetings, starts (and signs) petitions and writes letters. God Bless people like "George." I just can't help wondering IF "George" has a life, or not.

I was just on the phone with "Herb," from Toms River. Yes, I tease him on this blog, but he's really my buddy. Phil, too. For Liberals, they HAVE senses of humor. They KNOW that I'm TOTALLY full-tilt bozo, so they don't take umbrage (love that word!) at things I say, here. Gotta' go! I got laundry to do!! Hey, Bob? I feel BETTER for blogging, here. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to express my feelings!!

To Bill from Toms River,

Good to see you're back, it's been sooooo quiet here without you. Keep the remarks coming Bill, they're greatly appreciated.
