Funny how "a nony mouse" aka "NO BALLS IN PHX" reacts to my questions to the doctor. I tried to get him to answer the question as I thought he might give his PERSONAL OPINION. Instead he gave "FAUX NEWS" sound bite answers. And Bob had to bail him out. You really have to listen next time. You did get one thing right J.O. I do want corporate profit taken out of health care. It seems to be the moral thing to do. WWJD?????? Looks like Mr Carter was spot on and ronny reagan aka "THE MYTH" was wrong on energy policy. Sorry to let the facts spoil your fantasy. One last thing. So, people with cancer were calling in to find out if this "Cyber-knife" procedure could help them. Then, just to keep things interesting, Mike calls in trying to bait the Doctor into a philosophical discussion about the health care system in the country. We are on opposite sides of the argument Mike, but will give credit where credit is due. Thats the way to make Bob sweat...give the advertisers a hard time, and take time away from cancer patients.
BTW, he's a doctor, you are not. Therefore his opinion carries more weight than yours, correct?? I think thats the logic that is used when your namesake, Enviro-nazi Mike from Toms River calls in about anything related to the environment. That's his "field", so NOBODY can ever disagree with HIM, so why are you disagreeing with this Doctor who was on with Levy yesterday?

The facts !!!! The DR paid for a 1/2 hour commercial. Bob said he was taking calls on any subject after the commercial time had expired. I guess you didn't hear that part. All part of the "SELECTIVE HEARING" of those with an oppossing view. Also, I hung up as soon as Bob said that he had other callers waiting. I thought you were an honest and reasonable guy Joe. You do make my point as I was interested in "HIS PROFESSIONAL OPINION" on health care reform. I just don't understand why they can never give you specifics on what they don't like. Could it be because they don't know? Maybe they are just shy !!!!!!! Bob bails and you decide.

Lawrence Russell Brewer was executed (by lethal injection), last night, in Texas, for the HORRIFIC (!!!), brutal murder of James Byrd, Jr. Mr. Byrd, a black man, was chained and dragged to his death (for a full three miles), from the back of a pickup truck, back in 1998. As I was a "Topic 'A,'" regular (in good standing!!) at the time of the murder, I can recall that Bob gave this crime MOST of his airtime, that Sunday. Also, Troy Davis was executed (also by lethal injection), last night, in Georgia. Mr. Davis was convicted of killing an off-duty policeman, 22 years ago. This week, Mr. Davis' lawyers had the audacity to ask for a lie-detector test in order to prove his innocence. AFTER 22 YEARS??!! I'm NOT a lawyer, but after watching TV shows like "Law and Order," I know that the results of lie-detector tests are NOT admissable in a court of law (not to mention the court of public opinion!).
FINALLY (Herb, from Toms River can appreciate this!), 235 years ago, today, American patriot, Nathan Hale, was executed (by hanging) at the hands of the British. What was Mr. Hale's crime? A simple costume malfunction. You see, Mr. Hale was a commissioned officer in the Continental Army (a Captain, by the way), and the day he was captured by the British his girlfriend sent his uniform out to a nearby Chinese laundry, so he was wearing civilian clothes (a pair of Dockers, and a New York Jets sweatshirt, actually) when he was apprehended spying on the British. Okay, EVERYBODY: "I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country."
BONUS POINTS IF YOU KNOW THE ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION! Where was Nathan Hale hanged? You get an "F" from Herb, from Toms River, IF you answered "under a tall tree." Nathan Hale was hanged at what is now 66th Street and Third Avenue, in Manhattan.

I love Tony Bennett (as a singer), I just viewed (and listened-to) his duets with Amy Winehouse ("Heart and Soul") and Lady Gaga ("The Lady is a Tramp"), yesterday, on You Tube. GREAT! His Revisionist History, though? Not so much.

Their Final Last Meal.
Austin, Texas - Texas ended its last meals for death-row inmates yesterday, after a state senator blasted the huge quantity of food given to a prisoner ahead of his execution the day before.
Lawrence Brewer, 44, was put to death Wednesday for killing a disabled black man by dragging him behind his pickup truck in 1998.
Brewer got an extensive last meal of two steaks, a triple bacon cheeseburger, a cheese omelet, a large bowl of fried okra, three fajitas, a pint of ice cream and a pound of barbecue. He did NOT eat the food.

First, the BAD news: NASA places the odds at one in 3200 that a person will get injured, or killed, when the 5 1/2 ton dead research satellite crashes into the Earth, today.
Now for the even WORSE news: According to the New Jersey State Lottery Commission, a Pick Six lottery player has a one in 13,983,816.0 chance of winning the Big Jackpot. As Dirty Harry (Clint Eastwood) likes to say: "Do you feel lucky, today, punk?"
