From the NEWS desk of Tom Mongelli:
No one seems to have no opinion about Mike Ritacco. People in Toms River either love him or hate him. All of the latter seemed to pop up on the Jersey Guys Thursday night. Watch for the some changes in a matter of days, others over an indeterminate amount of time, and it could go beyond the school board. There's an emergency Board meeting Saturday, and a public meeting Tuesday.
.
Earth Day's 40th anniversary this weekend. Clean Ocean Action's annual Beach Sweeps take place Saturday in 69 spots along the shore. The strangest items in the tens of thousands of tons of trash go on display before the next sweeps in autumn. There are literally scores of other events in Ocean and Monmouth.
.
Also Saturday, Manchester dedicates World War II Veterans' Memorial Park. Our web page features a two-part insert featuring a Manchester survivor of the USS Bunker Hill, plus some dramatic visuals of the disaster off Okinawa in 1945.
.
Two public hearings on offshore drilling take place Tuesday in Newark, organized by the federal Minerals Management Service. They're at the Sheraton Airport Hotel.
Folks who think clams in the water are better than oil rigs meet Tuesday night in Toms River. Re-Clam The Bay seeks new recruits at the Ocean County Ag Building.
.
Also on Tuesday, the Ocean County League of Women Voters conducts a public discussion on the risk of nuclear plant radiation leaks on women, children and fetuses. The League is among those who want Oyster Creek decommissioned, closed and flattened.
.
Finally on Tuesday, the Toms River Township Council meets. But since everything else is happening on Tuesday, they'll have nothing to talk about and no one will be there.
.
Friday, April 30th is the deadline for the Navy to reach terms on a buyout figure with a developer and nullify a contract that would open housing at Earle Naval Weapons Station to civilians. A deal appears likely, but nothings been yet signed.
.
Former Assemblyman Dan Van Pelt's trial is scheduled to start May 3. That evening at 7, the builder of the Ocean Gate Municipal Wind Turbine visits the borough hall, where neighbors will harangue him about the noise coming out of the thing. Not especially loud. But, think of someone using an electric razor in the next room. Forever.

General Motors Company (the "new GM"):
currently has no publicly traded securities. Please note that none of the publicly owned stocks or bonds issued by the former General Motors Corporation (now renamed "Motors Liquidation Company"), including its common stock currently traded on the Pink Sheets over-the-counter market under the ticker symbol "MTLQQ", are or will become securities of General Motors Company, which is an independent separate company.

Arizona's new, controversial immigration law is PROTECTED by Article IV, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution. States Rights versus the Federal Government. Bob SHOULD drop the dime novels he reads incessantly, and DO some homework before taking to the air!!

That's it? All Mike Ritacco did was campaign for a job he already has!! Bob, THAT was a HUGE exercise in futility!!

Bob, a trained chimp COULD replace you.

"The fact that Mike Ritacco DIDN'T retire, yesterday, speaks volumes to me about his innocence."

- Bob Levy

Bob, Illinois' Governor Rod Blagojevich DIDN'T retire, either. He had to be REMOVED, physically!!

Bill, from Toms River said...

"He (Ritacco) hasn't even been charged yet."

- Bob Levy

Bob, know this, Mike Ritacco's personal home was raided by the FBI. His car was confiscated. It happened on Obama's Watch, NOT "Dubya's" watch. What do they call this, "hoisted on his own petard?"

Mike Ritacco + "innovative," think-out-of-the-box business ventures = Indictment.

Bill, from Toms River said...

Huh, Bob WOULDN'T take phone calls when Mike Ritacco WAS there, then he cuts off a call when Mike Ritacco leaves!!

Bill, from Toms River said...

"I like Mr. Ritacco, I admire him..."

- Bob Levy

C'mon, Bob, if you and Mr. Ritacco weren't already married (to other people), you'd probably go out and pick out furniture, together, after the show!!

Bill, from Toms River said...

If Robert Gibbs EVER steps down as President Obama's press secretary, I nominate Bob Levy to replace him.
As Host of "Topic 'A,'" Bob REFUSED to take phone calls while Mike Ritacco was IN THE STUDIO, then he hung up on a caller who called AFTER Mr. Ritacco left.
UNBELIEVABLE!!

Bill, from Toms River said...

"Call with what YOU want to talk about, just don't be surprised if I hang up on you IF I disagree with you. GET IT OFF YOUR CHEST!
CLICK!!

Bill, from Toms River said...

"What's there to talk about, they're illegal?"

Ritaccoo thinks "outside the box", but after the FBI gets done with Ritacco; he will be doing his thinking from inside the box!

Maybe now we'll know how much money the bubble and the cafe made Ritacco, err I mean the school.

Too bad Bob won't ask Ritacco any questions.
