August 08, 2010

From the NEWS desk of Tom Mongelli:

Water quality in NJ watersheds is up for discussion when the Assembly and state Senate environment committees hold a joint meeting at Toms River Town Hall this Thursday. Assemblyman Jack McKeon and state Senator Bob Smith are pushing a package of bills aimed at stanching the flow of pollution into watersheds including Barnegat Bay.
Critics of Beachwood Mayor Ron Jones fumed while he held court on WOBM's Open Forum last month. So, true to the concept, they'll have their say this Wednesday. Jones escaped a third (!) attempt to recall him from office. Also on the program is Jackson Mayor Mike Reina, who's piloting the township through heavy swells in a sea of red ink.
American Cancer Society marks 20 years of the National Cervical and Breast Cancer Screening program with free clinics in Toms River and Red Bank, this Tuesday.
Ocean Gate Day, August 14th. The biggest little town in Ocean County marks the annual event with the dedication of a new park built entirely by volunteers, and a rock band on the Wildwood Avenue pier at night.
Vets who may be missing out on benefits they've earned can find out this week from DAV. Staffers will be in Tinton Falls Wednesday, Brick Township Friday and Lakewood Saturday.

The link below is from CBS Katie Couric's special series "Immigration Nation."

Bob NEVER questions Phil's figures. Lying Phil stikes again with his incorrect figures. It is not 7000 illegal anchor babies born in the US every year it is estimated at 300,000!! At the McAllen Texas Medical Center alone, 40% of the babies born a year come from illegals.

Paul,

Would you please play the ENTIRE segment for gullible Bob? Will he one day open his eyes and ears to the lies he allows Phil to keep spewing week after week?

Joe, from Toms River, and LisaB, I heard you. However, last Thursday I sent MY letter to Bill Saurer, CEO/President, WOBM-FM. I've heard enough, Bob HAS to go. I didn't listen to Bob for one nanosecond, yesterday. If you share MY opinion, send a letter to:

Mr. Bill Saurer, CEO/President
92.7 WOBM
P.O. Box 927
Toms River, NJ 08754

FAIR AND BALANCED!

OBJECTIVITY!

NO "ATTITUDE!"

I'll listen to Kevin Williams, SEVEN DAYS A WEEK!!!

Bill: Good for you, that's a start, the sooner you can get Bob Levy out of your life, the better off you'll be ... what a day it will be when Bill from Toms River can say: "Free at last, free at last, thank God almighty I am free at last."

"When the first Europeans arrived, Columbus and his crew, he came and he called us Indians, because of the obvious reason,he thought he was lost in India. But what did we call ourselves before Columbus came? That's the question so often asked. and the thing is in every single tribe, even today, when you translate the word we each had for ourselves, without knowledge of each other, it is always something that translated to basically the same thing. In our language it's Ninuog, or the people, the human beings. That's what we called ourselves. So when the pilgrims arrived here, we knew who we were, but we didn't who they were. So we called them Awaunageesuck, or the strangers, because they were the ones who were ALIEN,they were the ones that we didn't know, but we knew each other. And we were the human beings."

To Bill from Toms River: Whoa, calm down there bro, you MISINTERPRETED LisaB’s posting BIG TIME. She was offering you a word of ENCOURAGEMENT, she DIDN’T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL about wanting “more of Bob Levy”, not a word, nothing, nada, NOTHING EVEN REMOTELY CLOSE. She was offering you SUPPORT and you ripped her good. Looks like somebody owes somebody an apology.

To Bill from Toms River: I have read all of LisaB's postings and am convinced, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that she has your best interests at heart. How dare you tell her, or any woman, to "kiss your a**!!" You are out of line and should be ashamed of yourself. Now GO WASH OUT YOUR MOUTH WITH SOAP!!

ATTN: Cyndi and Alex,

Know this, that offending post on August 9, 2010, at 6:00 PM, was NOT - I repeat, NOT placed by me!!!
Check out how I sign in, and then compare it to the log-in made by the Phantom Poster. For all I know, Bob Levy might be trying to dis-credit me. I think I'm doing a good enough job, of that, all by myself!!

Bill, from Toms River said...

Hhhhhhhhmmmmmm??? Well, THAT rebuttal didn't go that well, did it? I assure you that I DIDN'T post the August 9th, 6:00 PM offensive comment. Why would I want to compromise what little integrity I have left? However, IF in some drunken stupor I did, then I humbly apologize!

To Bill from Toms River: A friendly word of advice: next time you have a bit too much of the bubbly, STAY AWAY FROM YOUR COMPUTER !

To Bill from Toms River:
It's simple.
You got schloshed.
You wrote something you shoudn't have.
You got caught.
Now you're saying it wasn't you that wrote it, it was someone else.
That doesn't cut it.
It's clear, you did it, you wrote it.
You've sort of kinda' admitted it.
It's over.
Move on.
